Clermont Lounge 3/23/2008

This mix is from my Saturday night gig at the Clermont Lounge. The first set Is my Obama Theme Song "You're The Man" by Marvin Gaye. Followed by Gil Scott Heron's "The Revolution will not be Televised" . And Temptations' "Power To The People" (guess I'm in a revolutionary mood). The second set is more funky, with Brothers Johnson's "Strawberry Letter 23", and "Funking For Jamaica" by Charles Wright & the 103rd Street Band . And the third set gets the party moving with "Aquaboogie" by Parliament, Kool And The Gang with "Jungle Boogie", "Holy Ghost" by Bar-Kays (I Dig!), another Kool song, "Hollywood Swinging", then "Ffun" by Con funk shun, and then 'nother one by Bar-Kays, "Let's Have Some Fun" (If the crossover fades suck, sorry it's a mutherfunkin party, get over it! Sheesh!) -RC
